STOR  FISK

What is this?

We are an artist collective

Stor Fisk Artist Collective began as a birthday party in December of 2021 in a farm house in Ås. We have gathered every month in the years since to share our artwork and support each other through our creative processes. We now meet on the second Thursday of every month at Ås Stasjon Kafé from 18:00 - 20:00. There is a 50 NOK door fee to keep the lights on and to support the café. We are a grassroots, volunteer run collective arranged by friends.

We welcome arts and artists of all background and mediums to showcase their work at our monthly meetings. We also appreciate engaged audience members - so feel free to join even if you don’t want to share any artwork.

Stay tuned here and through our list serve. Contact stor.fisk.artists@gmail.comto be added to our mailing list.

next stor Fisk August 13th

We are taking a summer break and will meet again on August 13th at Ã…s Stasjon Kafé from 18:00-20:00. The door fee is 50 NOK as usual. This will be an open mic and as always, we welcome all art, all artists and all experience levels.

Anyone is welcome to perform, but please reach out to us at stor.fisk.artists@gmail.com if you have something special planned so we can help prepare the space for you.

There is no obligation to perform or share work, so please feel free to join as an audience member. A kind, supportive audience is essential!

Please share the attached flier anywhere and with anyone you think will be interested. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Cheers,

Reed and Marianne

Celebrating the Oslo Fjord

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Stor Fisk on April 9th celebrating the Oslo Fjord through art. We had a great turnout - a diverse array of local artists and an engaged audience. Below are some photos from the event.

One of the ideas behind this event was to promote fundraising for organizations that help to improve environmental conditions in the Oslo Fjord such as Oslofjordens FriluftsrÃ¥d, Naturvernforbundet and the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF).

Donations are a great way to support these organizations and help the Oslo Fjord but there are plenty of other ways. You can also support through volunteering, signing petitions, mapping environmental issues in the fjord, and informing others about how to help the Oslo Fjord.

Other organizations that you can volunteer with to improve conditions in the Oslo Fjord:
